The Tale of the Confidence Coach Who Forgot Her Confidence

ICONIC.
That was the word they used. And I wasn't in whispers, but in surround sound. It echoed in my head with such absurdity, that I almost laughed out loud. Iconic? Me? Surely, they were talking about someone else. Someone with better hair. Someone with a shinier past. Someone with shadowy corners where self-doubt still likes to camp out between client calls and laundry loads.
But no. They meant me.

The thing is, imposter syndrome doesn’t care how many lives you’ve transformed, how many tears you’ve held space for, or how many clients swear you changed everything for them. It slinks in quietly, tugs at your confidence, and makes even a compliment feel suspicious.
And why wouldn't it?
You see, I’ve worn the cloak of being “the underestimated one” for most of my life. The chubby girl. The cute one. The quiet, nice one who stays in the background. The sheep. Unthreatening. Unassuming. Easy to overlook. It adds up.
And the dangerous part?

Over time, I got comfortable being overlooked. There’s a strange safety in being underestimated. It was safer to play small than to risk being seen and misunderstood. No one expects much, so you don’t disappoint anyone.
Except yourself.
But something changed. Actually, everything changed. I found my purpose. Or maybe it found me. I bet on myself... in my 40s. I became a Confidence Coach, learned everything from scratch, coached incredible humans, and watched real transformation happen. And somewhere between coaching others, I slowly started coaching myself back to me.
I juggled motherhood, a full-time job, and a calling that wouldn’t let me rest. And still, on some days, I’d forget who I was. Because confidence, my friend, is not a one-time download. It’s a practice. A muscle. A relationship with yourself.
And then came Nidhi with her unique lens.
She didn’t just take photos; she held up a mirror. What I saw wasn’t just flattering lighting or good angles. It was me, unmasked. Powerful. Radiant. Grounded. Bold. Fierce. Focused. Free. A woman in full bloom, owning her journey, not hiding behind it.

And I realized I am iconic. Not because someone else said it. Because I finally saw it. So yes, even confidence coaches need confidence boosts. Even we need reminders that we’re allowed to take up space, shine unapologetically, and rewrite the labels we were given. Sometimes it takes being seen; really, truly seen, to remember what we’re capable of.
And if you’ve ever been underestimated, here’s what I want you to know:
Your quiet resilience? That’s power.Your second chapter? It can be your boldest.Your self-doubt? Not a sign to stop, but to take the leap.
So go ahead. Underestimate me.That should be fun.
Let me help you reclaim your power. Book a Free 1:1 call and let's uncover the version of you that’s been hiding in plain sight.
